Uplands Academy Celebrates Strong GCSE Results and Continued Improvement
Uplands Academy is delighted to announce a strong set of GCSE results for 2025, reflecting the hard work, resilience and ambition of its students. This year, the Academy has seen an impressive 8% increase in the number of students achieving a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths.
English results were particularly outstanding, with 84% of students securing at least a grade 4, and 71% achieving a grade 5 or higher. In Maths, 74% of students achieved a grade 4 or above, marking a significant step forward in performance across core subjects. These achievements highlight the Academy’s commitment to academic excellence and the strength of its teaching and support systems.
The Academy also celebrated exceptional outcomes in creative subjects, with Art and Photography students achieving outstanding results that showcase their talent, creativity and dedication.
Headteacher Mr Chris Connor commented:

These results are a testament to their determination and to the academic values we uphold at Uplands Academy: being Motivated, Articulate, Resilient and Knowledgeable. I would also like to thank our dedicated staff, whose tireless efforts and unwavering support have helped guide our students to success.
