Open Day 2026
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Open Day on Saturday 10 October.
It was wonderful to welcome so many families and prospective students to our vibrant school community.
A huge thank you to our fantastic student volunteers, who supported activities across the school. From running French and Spanish market stalls to leading science experiments and performing for visitors, your enthusiasm, confidence and commitment were outstanding. You truly embody the values we are proud to promote at Uplands.
We would also like to thank our student speakers, Alice and Isaac in Year 7, and Julia and Elijah in Year 10, for sharing their experiences and providing a wonderful insight into life at Uplands Academy. Their presentations helped bring our school community to life for prospective families.
A special thank you to Sofiia in Year 8 for her beautiful piano performance before each of the presentations.
We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff for their hard work and enthusiasm in making the day such a success. Thank you also to Chartwells for providing delicious menu samples in the canteen, to Carillon Cottage for the wonderful refreshments and homemade cakes, and to our newly formed PTA for organising a raffle and games to help raise funds for the school.
Thank you once again to everyone who contributed to making the day such an engaging and welcoming event. We look forward to welcoming many of the prospective students to Uplands next September!
